Designing policies and services that care

IntermediatePresentation

In order to truly redesign government service delivery to care equitably for everyone, we must first recognize the ways trauma has impacted the populations we are trying to serve and the system we are working within. This session will discuss the importance of trauma-informed care and will equip participants with tools to implement it in their own practice.

I believe in the power of humanity centered design as a tool for social change. In my own work, I am informed by critical theory, and see my work as being informed not only by this theoretical, philosophical information, but also engaging with stakeholders and individuals who are experiencing the everyday effects of such theory.
