Panel session: How to organise accessibility?

Panel / discussion

Recent Dutch PhD research shows that organisational factors (such as management involvement, purchasing, education, etc.) play a key role in improving the accessibility of websites and apps by the government. In the light of these findings, Eric Velleman, who conducted the study (Study: The implementation of web accessibility standards by Dutch municipalities), challenged international panel members to give their opinion on how governments can successfully comply with the European Directive on Accessibility of Public Sector Websites and Apps.

If we can no longer leave web accessibility to the editors and developers alone, who else will we involve? How do we organize this? What is the role of higher management?
