Panel session: The future of government services (featuring Audrey Tang & Francis Maude)

Panel / discussion

In this panel government non-conformist Wouter Welling challenged the international panelists to voice their opinions on the future of government services. Can we achieve a government that is obsessed with serving civilians? How do we get there? What are the barriers? What would we need to change in our way of working to deliver services that are as good or better than the best commercial examples? How do we make these services as inclusive as possible?

The panelists included Audrey Tang (Digital Minister of Taiwan), Francis Maude (former Minister for the UK Cabinet Office),  Larissa Zegveld (Director of co-operation Wigo4it, that delivers services for work and income for the 4 largest municipalities in The Netherlands; ambassador of Gebruiker Centraal) and Nathan Ducastel (Director Policy / information society at the Association of Netherlands Municipalities / VNG Realisatie).
